Ideas for efficient revision sessions: By an IITian

I received tonnes of requests on "How to revise ?"
Here are a few methods that are based on my own experience. Note that my strategy might completely fail for you. So it's best to discover one's own techniques when it comes to revision, which is a crucial stage in JEE preparation.
First of all, I will write about Chemistry because this is something that needs infinite revision.

Site of the Month

The Site of the Month is-

This site include lots of free videos of physics both for class 11 and 12, all for free. The video lectures are by the teacher Ashish Arora. These videos are uploaded on YouTube, so, you may download them as well as watch them online. These videos are really very helpful for understanding basic concepts of cbse level. The videos are divided in small parts ranging from 2 to 10 minutes, each part on a single topic. So, you can go through each topic individually. But sometimes it seems little boring to watch these videos because you are not able to see the teacher himself, just his hand and pen... ;D

But, on the whole the site is really useful....

Friends, this site is best for question-answer forum. You just need to have an account on meritnation and you can ask as well as answer questions asked by others. This gives you an opportunity to test how much you know without appearing in tests. Apart from this, if you are lucky, you may get answer from an expert. With a free membership, you have access to some of the chapters from meritnation's lot.... But it provides free NCERT solutions questions and chapter wise.... It has a badge program which is something gooood..... ;)
You have IIT, AIPMT, Vedic Maths other than normal course subjects.... And yes, when you need to take a break, you can play games, solve mind teasers, chat with someone etc. etc.....
They also provide revision notes and most important.... You have english there.... So, the day before the exam of english, you may come here and ponder.... Wonderful Na... :)

P.S. - You don't have access to all the chapters and notes, but asking for summary or revision notes or those things which are out of your reach, other students answer them with meritnation's original content....

This post is the valuable suggestion of an IITian who secured a 3-digit rank in IIT-JEE......

Regarding routine and schedule:
1) Try to devote about 5 hours on working days, and about 12 hours on non-working days.
2)  The schedule that works best for me is to take afternoon nap for about 2  hours. If you are studying since morning (in school or at home), you  tend to be less efficient in the afternoon. Better take a nap, and study  late in the night.
