On The Go (OTG) USB for Smartphones and Tablets

"Sony and Strontium have launched USB On-The-Go (OTG) flash drives in an attempt to provide alternate external storage option for smartphones and tablets which lack microSD card slot."

-A technology blog says

USB OTG drives have a standard USB port on one end and a Micro-USB on the other end, and can be accessed directly from a computer or from any smartphone or tablet that support USB OTG.
Sony USB flash drives have micro-usb connector (for mobile connectivity) and usb 2.0 connector. It can be used with Android devices with USB flash drive connectivity using Android version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above. The company has planned the future compatibility with Android 4.4 KitKat.

These Sony USB drives are available in three different cap colors.
While Sony OTG USB come in capacities 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, Strontium provide 8GB to 64GB OGT USB drives.

These USB drives are available online at a price approx 600 Rs. Note that OTG USB card reader for mobiles are already in market at lower range.
